Recanati Beach
Description
Recanati Beach is the largest in Giardini Naxos and is well-known for its mix of sand and small pebbles. The water here is slightly cooler due to its location outside the bay, but the views of Mount Etna are spectacular.
Recanati Beach offers a mix of public areas and private lidos, with plenty of beach clubs and facilities. For those seeking entertainment, it's the perfect spot: beachside kiosks, restaurants, and seaside clubs create a lively atmosphere, especially from sunset through the evening.
Recanati is lined with numerous beach clubs and lidos alongside kiosks, bars and restaurants, giving visitors plenty of choice between free public stretches and equipped areas. The atmosphere gets particularly lively from sunset through the evening.
Being set a little further from the centre, Recanati offers some of the best unobstructed views of Mount Etna across the water. It's still an easy walk or short drive from Giardini Naxos' Lungomare and the Archaeological Park of Naxos.
When to Visit
Peak season: July–August (busiest, especially at sunset). Best weather: June and September (warm, calmer). Off-season: May and October (quieter, cooler water). Its slightly cooler water compared to the sheltered bay beaches makes it a good pick on the hottest summer days.
