The day unfolds in a few distinct moments:

First stop

Castello degli Schiavi in Fiumefreddo di Sicilia, an eighteenth-century baroque villa that played the Corleone family residence on screen. An exclusive guided visit takes in the well, the Hall of Flags, the dungeons, the noble chapel and the farmer's room - and you can sit in Coppola's original director's chair for a photo.

Second stop

Savoca, a hilltop village listed among Italy's Most Beautiful Villages and chosen on screen as the symbol of Corleone. You'll see Bar Vitelli, where Michael Corleone asks for Apollonia's hand, with original photos and memorabilia, the Church of Santa Lucia (San Nicolò), where their wedding was filmed, and the monument to Coppola in the village square. Optional extras include a short walk through the historic centre and a visit to the Capuchin Catacombs (ticket paid on site).

The coach heads back towards Giardini Naxos in the early afternoon.
