Description
Lipari & Vulcano Tour from Giardini Naxos is a full day out, part coach trip and part mini-cruise, to two islands of the Aeolian archipelago - a UNESCO World Heritage site since 2000, ringed by turquoise water.
The day unfolds in a few distinct moments:
First stop
A coach ride with an escort to the port of Milazzo on the north coast, followed by a private motorboat crossing to Lipari, the largest island in the archipelago. You'll explore the historic centre, the Archaeological Park and the Cathedral, with free time for shopping.
Second stop
A scenic sail past the Faraglioni rocks and the Cavallo Cave on the way to Vulcano, where there's time to relax and swim at the beach - or, at your own extra cost, try the sulphur mud baths in a dedicated area.
The boat heads back past the Sirenetta rocks, and the coach returns you to Giardini Naxos.
